I attended a really insightful panel discussion on longevity at WHX Dubai, and it challenged my assumption that longevity was mostly a US west coast buzzword. The UAE's patient safety-first, scientifically validated approach — combining genomics, AI, and precision medicine — could be a genuine game changer.

A really insightful panel discussion on longevity at WHX Dubai (formerly Arab Health), hosted by the DubaiSciencePark with Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Sahar Almarzooqi, Dr.Ramadan Alblooshi, and Nicole Sirotin, MD DipABLM FACP.
I must admit that so far longevity to me was mostly a US west coast buzzword often trying to sell snake oil.
It is impressive to see how the UAE is actually encouraging a patient safety-first and scientifically validated approach in the region that is looking at the patient holistically, including elements of genomics, lifestyle changes, individualized patient risk and precision medicine.
Given the amount of genetic data available from the large scale genome projects in the UAE, and the strategic focus on AI and digital health in this region, this could truly be a game changer. It will be interesting to watch this evolve.
