Can the Middle East become the new hub for healthcare AI?
After several recent trips to the GCC, I've seen firsthand how both the UAE and Saudi Arabia are putting serious momentum and capital into building AI-first healthcare ecosystems.
Just this week, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi announced a strategic partnership with local tech powerhouse G42 and Oracle Health to co-develop an AI healthcare platform that could scale nationally. There is still a long road between announcements and clinical reality, but having visited Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi recently, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually pull it off.
This will be very interesting to watch.
