I attended AbuDhabiGlobalHealthWeek and heard compelling talks on the UAE's AI and healthcare ambitions. The region is investing heavily in data infrastructure, international R&D partnerships, and the funding ecosystem needed to attract global investment.

The UAE is clearly on the way to become an AI leader and has invested heavily in both a healthcare data and a world class AI infrastructure.
Isabel Afonso shared Arcera's international expansion ambitions, and has already invested significantly into AI. It uses predictive forecast using AI, improve manufacturing process, and content for healthcare professionals.
Sumit Sharma explained how the region should be partnering with the international R&D community to bring biology innovation into the region.
Alessandro Borgogna illustrated the importance of a stable infrastructure with a supportive government to attract investment, but also having effective funding of R&D financing all the way to VC and private equity which are being developed in the region.
